AROMATICA - Scalp Shampoo and Conditioner Review

AROMATICA is well-known in South Korea for being a green brand and "clean beauty". The company's products are 100% vegan, Ecocert, EWG Verified, and cruelty-free. They create sustainable products and make efforts to preserve and restore our environment. Not only that, but their raw, natural materials are sourced directly from the farmers. As you may infer by their brand name, the company is well-versed in aromatherapy and uses that as the foundation of their products. With a company that looks out for the welfare of your skin and the environment, you can't go wrong. You can read more about the company here.

I recently bought Aromatica's Scalp Root Energizing Rosemary Scalp Scaling Shampoo and Scalp Root Energizing Rosemary Hair Thickening Conditioner. At the time of the purchase, I was searching for a shampoo and conditioner that targeted hair loss because my hair seems to always be falling out. I ended up finding Aromatica's products on sale through Olive Young's app, so I decided to give it at try.

Sumorie

When I first tried this product, I was pleasantly surprised by the scent. It reminded me of Bath and Body's Eucalyptus Spearment (Stress Relief Line) scent. I feel as if my stress is leaving my body whenever I use this product. It's very calming. Because of the scent, I was expecting my scalp to feel fresh and cool when I used the shampoo and conditioner, but it didn't give that effect. The shampoo gives a nice lather and the conditioner is quite thick and moisturizes adequately.

As I mentioned earlier, my hair seems to be thinning and falls out all the time. It's a miracle that I still have hair! My family makes fun of me by saying it's like having a pet dog because my hair is everywhere haha This is one of the main reasons I chose these products because they target thinning and weak hair. Another reason is because it was on sale when I purchased it. You know how much I love sales 😉 (11,900 won and 10,800 won for the shampoo and conditioner, respectively). Regarding the claims in strengthening the roots, I cannot agree. My hair still falls out as much as before I started using it. In AROMATICA's defense, I haven't found any shampoo or conditioner in the past that stops my hair loss. I think my hair loss is due to stress, which shampoos and conditioners can't prevent. That's a "me" problem 😅 I don't have any issues with dandruff or a dry scalp and hair, so I can't comment on those claims.

VERDICT

After two months of using these products, I conclude that they are decent and seem higher quality than regular drug-store shampoos and conditioners. However, I don't think I would purchase them again. Since these products don't seem to benefit me more than regular shampoos and conditioners (other than the aromatic, calming scent), I wouldn't pay the extra money for it. I do not recommend to buy this product for the hair benefits it claims to provide. However, if you are into vegan products, sustainability, and conserving the earth, you can buy Aromatica's products to support their cause and reap the benefits of natural-derived ingredients.
